Pearl Jewellery

Pearl is the oldest known gemstone, and unlike any other gems, pearl is an organic matter created from a living creature such as an oyster or mollusks which is essentially a solid object made up of calcium carbonate in crystalline form.

Pearl is an astral stone for Gemini and Cancer and is considered to be strongly connected to the moon. Some early cultures believed that the pearl was created from a single drop of rain and it was referred to as ‘teardrops of the moon’. The most valuable pearls occur in the wild and are very rare and therefore natural pearls are very highly valued as gemstones and are thought of as objects of beauty.

Throughout time, pearls have become to be known as a symbol of purity and innocence and have become known as a representation of an object very rare, fine and valuable hence they have become a big part of wedding jewelry worn by the bride.
